Born in 03/12/1967 at Roncofreddo (FC), Italy, Pasquale Commendatore is currently Full Professor of Economics at the University of Naples ‘Federico II’, Italy. From 18/01/2005 to 17/12/2010 he has been Associate Professor and from 01/07/1999 to 18/01/2005 researcher at the University of Naples ‘Federico II’. In 2001, PhD in Economics and Econometrics at the University of Manchester, UK. In 1999, PhD in Development Economics and Economic Policy at the University of Naples ‘Federico II’. In 1996, Master in Economics with Distinction at the University of Manchester. In 1993, BA in Political Sciences at the University of Catania, Italy. His fields of specialisation are: Economic Dynamics, Geographical Economics, Development Economics, Economic Growth and Income Distribution. From 2007 is Member of the Scientific Board of CICSE (Centro Interuniversitario Crescita e Sviluppo Economico – Interuniversity Centre on Growth and Economic Development). He has been local coordinator of the National Research Project PRIN2009 (2011-2013) “Structural Change and Growth”. He has been proposer and elected Chair of the COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology) Action IS1104 “The EU in the new complex geography of economic systems: models, tools and policy evaluation”, a research project supported by the EU H2020 Framework Programme (2012-2016).
